Do you have the technical expertise, enthusiasm and business skills needed to manage a market segment?
As a Segment Manager you will take global responsibility for market share and growth in your segment. You will take an important role as a team leader to drive and coordinate activities such as portfolio, training, support, tools and marketing across the segment, giving our sales companies and Strategic Key Accounts the best possible support in executing business plans. The team consists of Application Engineers, Business Intelligence and Market Communication. The job demands technical expertise and business skills. It is based in Landskrona, Sweden, and involves travel (approx. 50-60 days per year) to our customers, sales companies and exhibitions worldwide.
Your tasks and responsibilities
You will have overall responsibility for the segment and its concepts, and segment performance will be measured by market share and growth. You will work in a matrix through Sales & Marketing, and be responsible to the Marketing Manager for:
- Developing concepts with products and tools
- Building barriers to competition
- Developing and running training for products and applications
- Supporting the segment
- Driving and developing sales tools
- Driving portfolio demands
- Specifying marketing demands
- Selling concepts, values and tools to sales people
Your education and experience
You must be a good listener, in tune with the market and our sales team. You must have a Master’s or equivalent in Chemistry or Mechanical Engineering, backed up by:
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in sales or product/segment management in air conditioning, with a knowledge of customer systems
- Excellent written and spoken English, which is our corporate language
